It is hard to believe almost an entire year has passed since I sat down to write my first letter to you. As I sit down to write again, I could not be more proud of our accomplishments as a school family. Student achievement in math and reading is up at every grade level and we are anticipating great news when the School Grades are published by the Department of Education later this summer.
I am so grateful for the hard work and dedication of our staff. They consistently went above and beyond to create a school year in which every child was challenged to work hard and make significant learning gains. To our families, thank you for being so involved in your child’s education this year and for all the little ways you supported our school.
Boys and girls, we are proud of each and every one of you. We hope you enjoy your summer vacation. Whatever you do this summer, be sure you read something for fun every day. Spend time with your family doing the things that make you happy and healthy.
To our 5th graders heading to middle school, keep working hard, be sure you always have something to read with you and set BIG goals so you always have something to look forward to.
It has been an honor to serve as your principal this year. I wish you all a restful and rejuvenating summer break.
Here’s to another year of student success and amazing achievements!
